Cuando vengamos a Misa, recordemos que la Iglesia es un lugar sagrado, no un salón de reunión social.  Por favor ayúdenos a mantener el lugar sagrado.

• Cuando se esté preparando para la Misa, recuerde vestirse modestamente.

• Recuerde que no mascamos chicle dentro de la iglesia.

• Si su hijo necesita atención, por favor, no dude en ir a la parte de atrás de la iglesia. Una vez que haya cuidado a su hijo y él/ella ya no llore, puede regresar a la banca.

• Cuando ponemos los reclinatorios hacia abajo o hacia arriba, no se tienen porque oír. Por favor, hágalo con cuidado para que no se golpeen contra el suelo o el banco.

• No traiga juguetes para que juegue el niño, ya que crea una distracción para las personas que lo rodean.  Tampoco se permite comida en la iglesia.

• Por favor cuide a su hijo, para que no salte en los bancos, balancee su cuerpo sobre los reclinatorios y/o el respaldo del banco, o corra por los pasillos. Los accidentes pueden ocurrir y nos gustaría evitar que su hijo se lastime, en la medida de lo posible.

• Durante la colecta y/o durante la comunión, no es momento de ponerse a conversar acerca de los últimos acontecimientos.  Cualquier comentario puede esperar después de misa, al menos que sea algo urgente.  Esto incluye contestar el teléfono y/o envira/recibir mensajes de texto.

• El día del bautismo, asegúrese de que alguien esté cuidando a los pequeños. A veces, padres, padrinos y hermanos mayores se concentran en el bautizo del bebé, y los pequeños andan corriendo sin ser atendidos por nadie. Por favor, tenga a alguien a cargo de los más pequeños.

When we come to Mass, let us remember that the Church is a sacred place, not a social gathering room. Please help us keep the place sacred.

• When you are preparing for Mass, please remember to dress modestly.

• Remember that we do not chew gum inside the church.

• If your child needs attention, please do not hesitate to go to the back of the church. Once you have cared for your child and he/she is no longer crying, you may return to the bench.

• When we put the kneelers down or up, they don't have to be heard. Please do it carefully so they don't hit the ground or the bench.

• Do not bring toys for the child to play with as it creates a distraction for those around them.  Also, no food allowed in church.

• Please watch your child so that they do not jump on the pews, sway their body on the pews and/or the back of the pew, or run through the aisles. Accidents can happen and we would like to prevent your child from getting hurt, if possible.

• During the collection and/or during communion, this is not the time to start talking about the latest events. Any comments can wait after Mass, unless it is urgent. This includes answering the phone and/or sending/receiving text messages.

• On the day of the baptism, make sure someone is watching the little ones. Sometimes parents, godparents and older siblings are concentrating on the baby's baptism, and the little ones run around without being attended by anyone. Please have someone in charge of the little ones.

• Park on marked spaces only.

Next baptismal workshop in Spanish will be September 30.  The workshop will be from 8am to 12 noon.  Please get there 15 minutes before.  The door will be closed at 8:10am.  The next one in English will be on October 7th.  Children will not be allowed in the class, we are very sorry, but we do not have volunteers yet to help us in this area.  If you need to attend a class before this date, please contact nearby parishes to find out if they will have classes before our date.  Immaculate Conception, in Denton, TX, offers classes in Spanish every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  Please contact that parish for more information.

Marriage Preparation at St. Thomas Aquinas takes 12 months.  During that time we will walk with you as you prepare in the human, intellectual, pastoral,  and spiritual areas.  There are some requirements from the dioceses that the couple need to comply with, and there are others from the parish.  Please contact our office to set an appointment and provide you with more details.  We advise not to put the down payment on your venue until you have attended the initial meeting with the coordinator.

La preparación matrimonial en Santo Tomás de Aquino toma 12 meses. Durante ese tiempo caminaremos con usteded mientras se preparan en las áreas humana, intelectual, pastoral y espiritual. Hay algunos requisitos de la diócesis que la pareja debe cumplir, y hay otros de la parroquia. Comuníquese con nuestra oficina para programar una cita y brindarle más detalles.  Aconsejamos no dar el deposito en el lugar donde tendrán la fiesta hasta que haya venido a la primera reunion con la coordinadora.

Year 1/General Formation will begin on October 1, 2023 in Spanish; location TBD; the classes in English will start on October 8th; location TBD.  Year 2 will begin September 18 REB 2112. Classes will be in English and Spanish, in separate classrooms. Classes will be from 6:30 to 8pm. The classes are free. Contact this office for more information. We have already received three volunteers to help.  The tentative stations have been set on a map, and the draft for the meditations of two stations have been done.  We also have created a list of volunteer positions needed.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Ronnie.  We must clarify that this will not be a play.  This will be meditations on the Stations of the Cross that whoever joins us, will be experiencing personally.

Ya hemos recibido tres voluntarios para ayudar. Las estaciones tentativas se han colocado en un mapa y se ha elaborado el borrador para las meditaciones de dos estaciones. We still need coverage for 11 am to 12 noon, 3pm to 4pm and 6pm to 7pm.  Please consider volunteering.  The new schedule is from 9 am to 9 pm.  The family is the Domestic Church and the cell of society and as a reminder, the first hour after Mass will be “Family Time”, in which we will allow parents with small children to spend time with the Lord.  If you would like to volunteer at a certain hour, please contact the coordinator of the ministry in charge of that hour.
